"Hobos" is a new electronic music project consisting of two professional musicians - Vladimir Vavilov and Marat Taturas.

Both participants of the project have their own creative approach. Having grown up together in the same town – Ufa – their first collaborations took place there. They have since left Ufa however, moving to Moscow to continue to write their own electronic music and then to perform in the capital’s many clubs.

In 2004 in Moscow the pair met with the organizer of the project "OBO&HOBOS" (record shop for DJs / electronic recording studio / booking agency), producer and general fixer/mover & shaker, Alexander Kozik. Under the direction of Alexander, the guys settled down in the OBO&HOBOS studio for a few months and started writing new material for their new project "Hobos".

Their keen interest in complicated studio equipment and persistent desire to get know how to get the best sound out of the machines has led to impressing results. In just a short time they have written numerous tracks in different genres - from downtempo, ambient, house, techno and electro to experiments with vocals. "OBO&HOBOS" plans to release tracks soon on Western labels, with the ultimate aim of releasing an album.

Live performances always have that extra edge on DJ or notebook sets due to the huge number of possibilities open to the live performers to make something original. Therefore, "Hobos" uses not only computers, but also synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, and other tools which generate sound in real time. Vladimir and Marat both successfully perform in Moscow clubs and in other cities of Russia, and also participate in different electronic music festivals.

The new release from Solaris Record is a three-track "Dirty Fuck EP" HOBOS.
The A-Side features the title track, which is an electro-house laugh at those who take dance music over-seriously. "Dirty Fuck" featuring Obo vocal is packed with a hard bass line, nostalgic 80-s synths, dirty vocals and even dirtier words.
B1 "CoColumbia" hits even harder and is a nice specimen of hand-raising electro-clash.
B2 "Trick" goes deeper but with the same force, energy and wicked electro sound. The art-work of the sleeve is made by the famous theme and character. It is inspired by these three tracks.
The new blood from Russia is a real treat for your ears and is not to be missed!
